Here’s how they’re used:
- Position the plate on the bottom rear edge of the heel where it naturally contacts the ground.
- Align it so it follows the heel’s shape without sticking out.
- Attach it using the tiny nails or screws that usually come with the plate.
- Tap the nails in gently with a small hammer until the plate is firmly secured.
They help:
- Extend the life of leather or stacked-leather heels.
- Reduce heel wear.
- Give a distinctive clicking sound when walking on hard surfaces.
If by “im deal” you meant “ideal use”, they’re best suited for:
- Vintage dress shoes
- Leather-soled boots
- Shoes with leather or stacked leather heels
They’re generally not recommended for rubber heels, as they can reduce traction and may not attach securely.
If you have a photo of your heel plates, upload it and I can identify the exact type and show you where they should be installed.
