Air Fryer Poached Eggs Recipe
Poached eggs can be made in an air fryer using small ramekins filled with water. The result is a tender egg with a soft yolk, perfect for toast, salads, or breakfast bowls.
Ingredients (Serves 2)
2 large eggs
½ cup (120 ml) water, divided between two ramekins
Cooking spray or a little butter (optional)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Equipment
Air fryer
2 oven-safe ramekins or small heatproof dishes
Spoon
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat the air fryer to 180°C (355°F) for 3–5 minutes.
Step 2: Prepare the Ramekins
Lightly grease the ramekins if desired.
Pour about ¼ cup (60 ml) water into each ramekin.
Step 3: Add the Eggs
Crack one egg into each ramekin, directly into the water.
Step 4: Air Fry
Carefully place the ramekins in the air fryer basket.
Cook at 180°C (355°F) for 5–8 minutes.
5–6 minutes: runnier yolk
7–8 minutes: firmer yolk
Cooking times vary by air fryer model, so check the eggs after 5 minutes.
Step 5: Remove and Serve
Carefully remove the ramekins—they will be hot.
Use a spoon to lift out the eggs.
Season with salt and pepper.
