Happy to help identify it, but I’ll need to see it first.
Please upload a photo of the object (or a few photos if possible):
- One photo of the whole item.
- One close-up of any unusual features, clips, hinges, or markings.
- If possible, place something next to it for scale (such as a ruler, mug, or sheet of A4 paper).
Since you mentioned it’s about the size of an oven rack, it could be any of a number of things, for example:
- An extra oven shelf or grill rack.
- A cooling rack for baked goods.
- A roasting rack that sits inside a roasting tin.
- A rack from a microwave convection oven or air fryer oven.
- A refrigerator or freezer shelf.
- A dishwasher rack component.
- A pan or lid organiser.
- A pull-out cabinet shelf.
Once I can see it, I can usually identify:
- Exactly what it is.
- Which appliance or type of appliance it belongs to.
- How it’s used.
- Whether it’s missing any companion parts.
- Whether it’s valuable or worth keeping.
- If it’s safe to use and how to clean it.
- If it doesn’t belong in the kitchen at all.
Upload the photo, and I’ll examine all the details carefully.
